Project Overview



Scient Analytics is a tech startup that offers an AI-powered, imaging platform for streamlined and automatic classification of core samples. They offer real-time access to imagery data for environmental assessment and mining development.

The project involved improvements to their logo and branding, various print materials designed including a tradeshow banner and bi-fold brochure, also a pitch-deck presentation.

In addition Scient required a new modern website to be designed and developed. From ideation to implementation, the building blocks for the site were established starting with consultation and research of Scient's offering and similar competition within the technology space.

Taking the gathered requirements lead to design lo-fi wireframes, iterating with polished mockup designs. The final implementation of those designs evolved into a finished responsive website which aligned with the product mockup designs.

User Personas


Micah (CTO Mining Technology Firm)

Micah is responsible for finding the best solutions for resource exploration while minimizing environmental impact. This is an ever changing landscape of innovation and technlogy and he's always looking for ways his company can improve and find better solutions. The annual loss of revenue with failed exploration efforts is huge, and would be open to smarter ways to better perdict core sample data.

The new technologies which offer the streamlining the data analyzing process of core sample imaging are appealing. They could offer advanced solutions to better perdict resource exploration at the same time minimizing false data and environmental impact.

Laurel (Geoscientist)

Laurel applies her specialities with research and field work in natural resources exploration. Traditional methods are time consuming, costly and not as effective as some might think. There is a lot of trial and error, calculated risk and time that goes into determining where and how the best recources might be discovered with minimal impact to the environment.

Core sample scanning technologies have come a long way to help log and help companies better perdict where resources could be found. She is always researching for smarter technology solutions that can help minimize both cost and impact while increacing efficiency and drive better resource exploration practices.

Improving by iteration, the implemented build in Webflow aligned with the website prototype.

Reflection



This project involved a complete campaign which included making improvements to the logo and branding, print materials and end to end website development. The print materials were designed with a combination of Photoshop and Illustrator, and the website concept design prototypes were made in Figma.

While trying to keep project scope, the use Webflow combined with custom CSS allowed a website to be developed which aligned with the designs while providing a responsive user experience.
